Easy Corn Bread

This is an easy corn bread recipe that kid can make with a little help from Mom or Dad.

You will need:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cornmeal
2 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup milk
½ plain yogurt
1 egg, lightly beaten
¼ butter, melted

Preheat the oven to 425° F and spray an 8″ square baking pan.

In a large bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda, and brown sugar.

In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, yogurt, and melted butter together. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t over-mix it!

Pour into the baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden and lightly browned. Cut into squares and serve immediately.
